Chaganjuu Retreat Presents - Shuswap Lake Horse Camps

In addition to Accommodation, Hiking, Biking, Cross Country Skiing, and the Fitness Centre, the folks at Chaganjuu Retreat have added a Horse Riding Arena and Stables to the list of things to do while vacationing in the Shuswap Lake area of British Columbia. Now Horse enthusiasts can enjoy the company of their own horse while on vacation. Separate stables and green pasture available. Imagine early morning rides on miles of wilderness trails, or training in a regulation size riding arena, then touring Shuswap Lake by boat in the hot summer afternoon. All this combined with top notch accommodation in our lovely private Guesthouse.

Chaganjuu Retreat will be conducting horse camps for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 16 years old. The camps will be for any level of rider. Riding instruction will be provided by Angela Tremblay - Professional Riding Instructor. The camp will teach English disciplines. Riders are encouraged to bring their own horses. Riders that do not have a horse have the option of using a supplied horse - inquire about details. All children will be accountable for simple daily tasks such as feeding and watering their horse as well as supervised stall cleaning, and horse grooming. Camp participants will be able to enjoy other activities such as swimming, hiking and evening campfires.
Camps that are 5 days include Accommodation, Home cooked Meals, Professional Instruction and Activities, with a final Horseshow onsite and BBQ for families on the final day of camp.
The 7 day camp includes Riding Instruction to prepare for an outside Horseshow at Topline Stables in Salmon Arm on the final two days of camp. The camp cost includes Accomodation, Meals, Professional Instruction, Trailering and fuel to and from the horse show and all show entry fees for each rider as well as coaching at the show. We would like riders in this camp to bring their own horses so we can help develop the kids with their normal mount.

Horse Camp registrations require a $200 credit card deposit, with the balance due 45 days before the camp starts. All camps are limited to 12 riders. Cancellations are non-refundable unless another rider is found for the cancelled camp.
